Bio
Chana Chiesa, based in Los Angeles, California, graduated magna cum laude from California State University, Long Beach, with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development. During her time at university, she was a prominent member of the Human Development Honor’s Society and the President’s Honor’s Society, contributing as a Student Research Assistant and as a Published Student Editor and Textbook Contributor.
Chana’s top skills include leadership, fundraising, management, community engagement, and relationship development. She has an extensive volunteer background, notably serving as a member of the WECAN Coalition in the County of Orange from July 2017 to January 2021. In this role, she contributed to the coalition’s mission of preventing, diagnosing, and treating child abuse and neglect, while working with over 100 programs and departments to address the needs of children, families, and communities comprehensively.
Additionally, Chana served as the Vice Chair of the Children’s Needs Task Force in Huntington Beach from August 2018 to January 2021. In this capacity, she acted as a liaison to the Huntington Beach City Council, working with local leaders, schools, agencies, and the police to identify and meet the needs of children in the community. She also participated in the Barnes and Noble Annual Community Book Drive, reflecting her commitment to promoting literacy and education. Through her dedication to leadership and community service, Chana Chiesa has made significant contributions to the well-being of children and families.
In recognition of her community efforts, Chana received the Community Outreach and Leadership Award from the City of Westminster, CA, and the Westminster Police Department in January 2018. This honor, associated with the Brand-Aid-Society, was particularly significant as she was personally chosen by the Westminster Chief of Police and unanimously voted the recipient by the Westminster City Council. Chana expressed her gratitude for this special award, which underscores her unwavering support for community unity and her advocacy for law enforcement through the “Always Back the Blue” initiative.
